Privacy
Draft: This privacy policy is to be reviewed by a lawyer or against the Norwegian Data Protection Authority's guidance.
We collect as little as possible, and we state clearly what we do with it.
Shared experiences
- What we store: service, rating, title, text, display name (or "Anonymous") and date.
- Account: to share an experience you need a free account with a username, e-mail and password. The post is linked to the account internally, so that we can remove posts and stop misuse. The e-mail is never shown publicly. The username is shown on the post, unless you choose to be shown as "Anonymous". The same applies to comments. Even when you appear as "Anonymous", Kontaktpunkt24 can see which account wrote the post, so that we can moderate. When you press "I can relate", only the number is shown, never who. No account is needed: without an account, a random code is stored in your browser (local storage, not a cookie) and in the database, only to remember that you pressed. The code says nothing about who you are. The account and database are run by Supabase, with storage in the EU (Frankfurt). The password is handled by Supabase and is never stored by us in plain text.
- Deleting your account: you can ask to have your account and your posts deleted, see below. This is done permanently within 1 week.
- Newsletter: signing up is a separate, voluntary choice at registration, not pre-checked and separate from the terms. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Why: to show the experience openly on the site and to be able to moderate it.
- Who sees it: everyone who visits the site, once it is published.
- For how long: for up to 5 years, or until you ask for it to be deleted, or we remove it because it breaks the guidelines.
- Automatic check: the text is checked automatically for national ID numbers, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, links, addresses and full names. If something is found, the post is held back until one of us has reviewed it.
- Sensitive information: health information about you or others is specially protected. Do not write anything that could identify someone. We may remove or anonymise posts.
Contact form and newsletter
- Contact messages (name, e-mail, topic and message) are stored in our database with Supabase in the EU and are never published. Only Kontaktpunkt24 can read them. They are deleted automatically after 6 months. If we reply, we do so from [email protected].
- For the newsletter we only store your e-mail address, with the provider Resend. You can unsubscribe in every e-mail.
How to request deletion or access
You can delete your own posts and comments yourself, directly under Shared experiences. To delete your account, or if it concerns a post that is not yours, send a message via the contact form or to [email protected]. You can also use "Report" on the post.
Cookies and statistics
We use no cookies. To see how many people use the site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. According to Cloudflare, the tool uses neither cookies nor local storage, and does not identify visitors by IP address or browser. We only see totals, for example the number of page views, which pages are read and which country a visit comes from. None of this can be linked to you or your account.
